HomeSweetHobby Privacy Policy

Who we are and what this covers
HomeSweetHobby is an online shop on Etsy run by Jason Bouary in Ontario, Canada. This policy covers the shop's private software tool, Till & Tally, which only the shop owner uses to run the shop.
The tool does three things:
- Reads Pinterest trend data to see which gift themes are growing.
- Publishes pins of the shop's own products to the shop's own Pinterest business profile, after the owner approves them.
- Reads and updates the shop's own Etsy listings, and reads its listing stats and order amounts and status.
What data it collects
The tool collects only what it needs to run the shop.
- From Pinterest: trend keywords and trend data published through the Pinterest API, and data about the shop's own business account: its pins, boards and their basic analytics.
- From Etsy: the shop's own listings, listing stats, and order amounts and status.
It never collects personal data about other Pinterest users or Etsy shoppers, buyers' names or addresses, or data from other Etsy shops, and it never scrapes either site.
How data is used, shared and kept
Data is used only to decide which products the shop makes, and to publish and measure the shop's own pins and listings. It is never sold, rented, or shared for advertising.
Service providers process data on the owner's behalf: cloud hosting and storage, and an AI model provider (Anthropic) that helps draft and review listings. Each receives only the data its task needs.
Trend data is kept for up to 12 months. The shop's own records are kept as long as business and tax rules require.
Security, choices and contact
- Security: only the owner can access the tool. Access keys are stored encrypted and never shared.
- Your choices: the tool's access to Pinterest or Etsy can be revoked at any time from those platforms' settings, which stops all collection.
- Questions and deletion requests: email bouary.shopdesk@gmail.com. Requests are answered within 30 days.
- Changes: any update to this policy is posted here with a new effective date.
